Individual income tax returns will be able submit their income tax returns for 2021 as from 1 July 2021
The SARS filing season will open on 1 July 2021 and the closing date is 23 November 2021.
In order to submit the SARS ITR12 for 2021, a taxpayer must have the following documents ready :-
IRP5 or IT3(a)
IT3(b) or IT3(c)
Medical aid scheme tax certificates
Retirement Annuity Fund tax certificates
Income Protection certificates
Medical aid receipts in respect of qualifying medical expenses.
Qualifying Physical Impairment Expenditures
Travel logbook
Travel costs claimed.
Self employed individuals are required prepare the Annual Financial Statements or Income and Expenditures.
