Asylum Seekers are not allowed to register a company in South Africa

In terms of section 13 (4) of the Companies Act, 2008, asylum seekers without a valid passport are not allowed to register a company in South Africa.

The Asylum Seeker Temporary Permit which is issued by Department of Home Affairs is not accepted by Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) when a foreigner national want to register a company in South Africa.
